Differences in HDD and SSD:
The primary difference is that an HDD is a hard disk drive: an optical disk contains data on sectors of the disk that is read by a mechanical arm. As more data is read, the moving parts of the mechanical arm and disk perform more movement. So servers with a lot of data will take slightly longer to “read” or “write” their data to disk.
If a customer keeps regular backups off the server, or does not require a large amount of in-use disk and would like a slight increase in performance, SSD would be better. If the customer is storing backup locally on the dedicated server and has a large amount of data to store, HDD would be better.
